Faraday’s Humbuckers  (Ripple Eliminators) are designed to remove low frequency interference from video signals caused by differences in ground potential between circuits on different power circuits. When multiple power panels are used in a building, different power loading by equipment and lighting causes small differences in ground potential which induce ground loop current flow which in turn create the 50 Hz or 60 Hz hum. Hum can also be created in long cable runs by electromagnetically induced currents.
