RoHS Compliance of Faraday Products

EC directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS Directive) restricts the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.

Faraday Technology is committed to providing RoHS compatible equivalents to current products where required by customers.

Faraday will designate products as RoHS compliant when the following criteria have been met.

● Suppliers for all components used in the product have provided us with the confidence that the components used in the manufacture of the product are RoHS complaint.

● Non of the manufacturing processed employed will introduce any of the restricted substances unless specifically exempted by the directive.

● Business processes are in place that will ensure no non-conformities will occur

Confirmation of compliance by Faraday is either because the products do not contain any of the restricted substance referred to in Article 4(1) of the RoHS Directives at concentration levels in excess of those permitted or because their use at levels in excess of these concentrations is allowed through one of the particular exemptions listed in the directive.

Faraday Technology is using new part numbers to uniquely identify RoHS compliant components. This provides a reliable method to identify and segregate stock. Part numbers for RoHS compliant components will commence with the letter ‘E’. The associated data sheet will detail full part numbers and contain the above symbol to signify compliance.
